SHAKIB AL HASAN COMES BACK TO TRIDENTS

Bangladesh Captain Shakib Al Hasan will be joining the Tridents after getting a NOC from Bangladesh Cricket Board as a replacement for Nepal leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane, who joined his national team in the Singapore T20I Tri-series. The Tridents would miss the leg-spinner Lamichhane, he picked atleast one wicket for the Tridents in five consecutive games, ending the tournament with eight wickets in the six innings he played.
Shakib Al Hasan playing for The Tridents in 2013, picked up figures of 6/6, which is even now after six seasons the best bowling figures for any bowler in CPL history. After playing the one season for Tridents in 2013, he moved to Jamaica for a couple of seasons. He was bought back by the Tridents ahead of the last CPL but had to miss the tournament and was later replaced by Steve Smith.
The Bangladeshi, now rated as the number one ICC ODI All-rounder, joins the CPL after having an incredible World Cup 2019 where he scored 606 runs, including two consecutive centuries and five fifties in just eight innings.
He became the first player to score 500+ runs and also pick 10+ wickets in a single edition of World Cup. Shakib, who won the CPL in 2016 with Jamaica Tallawahs, has scored 281 runs and has taken 26 wickets in 25 CPL matches.
