TRIDENTS TO START CPL 2020 SEASON AGAINST PATRIOTS ON AUG. 18
Wed, 12th, Aug 2020

In exactly a week from now defending champions Barbados Tridents will get their CPL 2020 campaign underway facing off against the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots. The game will be a Day/Night encounter at Tarouba.
The Patriots are a side against whom the Tridents have had trouble in the past, having won only 3 of their 10 previous encounters. So the opener presents a stern challenge for Jason Holder and his men. They then take on Daren Sammy's St. Lucia Zouks a couple of days later on August 20th in the early game followed by the Trinbago Knight Riders on August 23rd.
Then comes a tough back-to-back set for the Tridents as they play the Patriots again and the Jamaica Tallawahs on the 25th and 26th with the first being a day game while the latter is under lights. The champs get a 2-day break after that, but then move on to another back-to-back set on the 29th and 30th against TKR and the Zouks.
We have to wait till September 1st for a rematch of last year's final as the Tridents play the Guyana Amazon Warriors. In fact the Tridents play them twice in a row with the second encounter on September 3rd.
The team then finishes off their league phase with a game against the Tallawahs on September 5th.
In total the Tridents have an equal split of day games and day-nighters with five of each.
