Thu, 24th, Aug 2017
Barbados Tridents boosted their squad ahead of the home leg of the 2017 season by adding an experienced, high caliber cricketer in the form of Eoin Morgan to the roster. The England ODI and T20I skipper will join the team in time to take on the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the Tridents' first home game of the 2017 CPL at the Kensington Oval.
A dependable middle order batsman, Morgan is known to be calculative, innovative, explosive and consistent. He has more than 5000 T20 runs at a strike rate of 124 and his leadership qualities are based on a shrewd understanding of the T20 format. Morgan will replace Pakistan all rounder Shoaib Malik in the Tridents and this will be his first CPL stint.
Welcoming the batsman to the squad, Barbados Tridents CEO Jason Harper commented, "We welcome Eoin Morgan to the Tridents family and we wish him all the best for the season."
