Attacking West Indies and Barbados batsman Dwayne Smith has been notching up some big scores, but this time off the pitch. Smith who will mark his return to the Tridents squad this season has been seen in a different avatar all together.

Dwayne, a former World Public Speaking Champion in 2002 was spotted speaking at the morning assembly at St. Phillips School to encourage budding cricketers. “Doctor” as he is famously known, and his Zulu Crop Over Festival Band handed out cricket equipment and gear to Bayley’s cricket team who recently clinched the Herman Griffith’s primary school’s cricket championship.

The Barbados born batsman was happy to be back playing for the Tridents as he commented, “I am back at home…. happy to be back home (Barbados) and I hope to give you all some good performances.”
